Martin as its Chief Executive Officer. He will also become a member of the company's Board of Directors.

A proven, growth-oriented operating executive with nearly 30 years of success building profitable companies and leading strong management teams, Martin has expertise in building efficient operations, growing market share and successfully integrating strategic acquisitions. His experience spans multiple industries and he has significant experience working successfully within the structure of the private equity ownership model.

"CEI is a premier partner for many of the world's leading global cosmetics, personal care and household products companies and I am excited about leading this extraordinary organization," said Martin. "From innovation to fulfillment, CEI is a critical partner in helping customers build strong brands. "Peter is a dynamic leader and team builder with an outstanding record of success," said David Simon, a member of the Board of Directors of Cosmetic Essence and Managing Director of private equity firm Littlejohn & Co. "Peter brings a passion for building businesses that deliver sustainable value and we are confident that he will drive profitable long-term growth and further solidify CEI's reputation as a preferred provider of critical products and services for the cosmetics, personal care and household products industries."

Martin succeeds Vincent Langone, who served as interim CEO of CEI since the company was recapitalized. Simon added that the Board was appreciative of Langone's leadership and of the contribution he has made to the company since it was recapitalized last fall. Langone said, "We are pleased that Peter has agreed to join CEI and we are confident that his experience, strong executive skills and leadership will accelerate CEI's growth well into the future."

Martin served with Captive Plastics, Inc. from 1996 to 2008, most recently as its President and CEO. Captive was sold to Berry Plastics in 2008. From 1981 to 1996, he served in senior sales and marketing positions with Continental Can Company. He received his degree from Colgate University.
